Thursday 19 June:

We check in at 10h00 at O.R.Tambo international airport to start our adventure.
JNB – SIN SQ479 13h15 – 05h40 (10.5hrs flying time)

Friday 20 June:
We land in Singapore, then connect to Kota Kinabalu:
SIN - BKI SQ5092 08h40 – 11h05
Transfer to the Le Meridien hotel where we spend the night in pure luxury on a bed and breakfast basis. Here we have time to dust off our jet lag, shop and explore the exciting city of Kota Kinabalu and its surrounding area. 

Saturday 21 June:
An early wake-up call to take the flight to Tawau:
BKI – TWU MH2121 07h00 – 07h45
We will be met by the staff of Kapalai resort and transferred by both road and speedboat to the resort. Check-in approx. 13h00 

Saturday 21 June – Sunday 29 June:

Kapalai Resort: 8 nights – 9 days This is what we have been waiting for: perched on stilts in the middle of the ocean , the resort appears, like something out of your wildest dreams. Built on a sandbar that is only visible at low tide, Kapalai resort caters for the adventurer and explorer in all of us. For the next eight days the capable staff at the resort will look after us while we dive all the sites in the area: the world famous Sipadan drop-off and the reefs of Mabul and Kapalai.

Sunday 29 June:
Check out at approx. 11h00 for the transfer back to Tawau on the mainland where we take the flight to Kota Kinabalu: TWU – BKI MH 2134 14h40 – 15h25
We check in at the Le-Meridien to await our Silk Air flight to Singapore the following day. Time for last minute shopping and exploration of the area or simply take the time to relax.

Monday 30 June:
After breakfast, we check out and transfer to the airport in time for the flight back to Singapore:
BKI – SIN SQ 5091 11h45 – 14h00
Using the secure “left luggage” facility at Singapore’s Changi Airport, we can leave our hand luggage behind and have the freedom to explore Singapore or do last minute shopping during the 12 hour transit before our flight to SA.

Tuesday 1 July:
We check in at approx. 23h00 (30 June) for the flight back to SA:
SIN – JHB SQ 478 02h15 - 07h10
Landing in Johannesburg on the 1st July.

What is INCLUDED?
All flights, transfers, accommodation and all airport taxes.
30 KG luggage per person between Jhb and Kota Kinabalu (10kg’s extra for diving luggage)
At Kapalai the following is included:
*Meet and land transfer from Tawau Airport to the jetty at Semporna (70 minutes) plus return transfer.
*Boat transfer to Kapalai Island plus return transfer.
*Accommodation on a sharing basis on the Resort.
*Single supplement on request.
*3 boat dives daily except on arrival and departure days.
*Unlimited dives in front of Kapalai dive centre.
* Diving is provided around Sipadan, Kapalai and Mabul.
*Buffet style meals.
*Afternoon snacks served after 3rd dive.
*Tea/Coffee, cold water and cordial served throughout the day.
*Tanks, weights and belt are provided.
*No extra charge for night dives in front of dive centre for advanced divers or divers with night dive experience.
*Limited dive gear is available for rent.

What is EXCLUDED?

Lunch and dinner in Kota Kinabalu.
Excess luggage charges between KBI and TWU (approx. R100 per person each way)
Sipadan dive permit (R80 per person per day) – MUST BE PRE-BOOKED.
Optional overnight in Singapore (hotel approx. R500per person sharing excl. meals)
